Look out for:

Beat It - a 3 x 50 series - starts transmitting on Channel 5 at 21.00 on Monday June 18. The series shows three individuals battling the particular demons which warp their lives. The films feature a teenager taking on his stammer; a young mum who's - bizarrely - addicted to shopping in ASDA; and a pair of brothers struggling to overcome the legacy of a violent upbringing.

Landmark's eight part series Sleep Clinic ended its run on Monday April 16 with a particularly strong audience of 2.9m in its 22.35 BBC1 slot. Audiences held up really well right through the series and critical reaction was good as well: The Guardian called the series 'funny, fascinating stuff' and TV Times described it as 'charming and warm hearted.'

Also on April 16, Landmark's Three in a Bed, part of Five's 'Hidden Lives' series, achieved an audience of 1.4m - equalling the Cutting Edge audience on Channel 4.

Channel 4 broadcast Animal Addicts at 22.00 on May 1 to terrific reviews in The Times and The Guardian.

Strangest Hotel in Britain was shown on Channel 4 at 21.00 on February 26. Strangest Hotel is a companion piece to last year's groundbreaking Strangest Village in Britain, which achieved a 3.0 million audience for Channel 4 on first transmission. The Times previewer thought Strangest Hotel is 'one of those wonderful programmes that make you feel better about the world' so that's nice.

If you have any idea when ITV are to transmit Landmark's sweet film Britain's Weirdest Phobias then do give us a ring: we'd love to know.

Landmark Films News:

Landmark has signed a first look deal with fast growing distributors ID Distribution. The move follows ID's success in selling Landmark titles in several new territories. Fat Pets and three of Landmark's "...In Britain" films - originally made for ITV1 - have recently sold to U.S. broadcasters.

Channel 4 have named Landmark's Fat Pets as one of their 3 breakthrough 21.00 documentaries of 2006. Fat Pets was shown on Wednesday 15th March at 9pm on Channel 4 and achieved an audience of 3.3 million.
